Add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions and mixed numbers, simplify a fraction to its lowest terms, or convert between fractions and decimals.
All six modes share the same calculator: Basic Operations works on plain fractions, Mixed Numbers adds a whole-number part to each side, Simplify Fraction reduces a single fraction to lowest terms, Decimal to Fraction and Fraction to Decimal convert between the two representations, and Big Number Fractions runs the same add/subtract/multiply/divide operations but accepts numerators and denominators of any size, since the math is done with arbitrary-precision integers rather than floating point.
How to use
- Choose a calculator type from the options at the top — the fields below update to match.
- For Basic, Mixed Numbers, and Big Number Fractions, enter both fractions (and whole numbers, for Mixed) and choose an operator.
- For Simplify Fraction, enter a single fraction to reduce.
- For Decimal to Fraction, enter a decimal value; for Fraction to Decimal, enter a fraction and how many decimal places to show.
- Press Calculate to see the result, or Clear to reset the form.
Tips
- Results are always shown fully reduced, with a mixed-number form when the result is an improper fraction.
- Big Number Fractions accepts numerators and denominators with far more digits than a standard calculator can handle precisely.
