Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
FourCalculator is a free, client-only calculator and converter tool. This policy explains what data we do — and don't — collect.
What we store locally
FourCalculator does not require an account. Some preferences are saved locally in your browser's localStorage, and never leave your device:
- Your light/dark theme preference
- Which calculators you've enabled or hidden
- A short list of your recently used calculators (for the "Recent" shortcuts on the homepage)
- Your cookie consent choice (see below)
The numbers you type into a calculator never leave your device — every calculation runs entirely in your browser and is never sent to our servers.
Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which calculators are actually useful, so we can improve the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and only runs after you accept the cookie banner — if you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics events are sent.
When enabled, the events we send are limited to:
- Which pages you visit (standard page-view tracking)
- Which calculator you started filling in and which one you completed (by name and category only, e.g. "mortgage" / "finance")
- What you searched for in the site search box, and which result you clicked
We never send the actual values you type into a calculator (e.g. your weight, income, or age) to Analytics — only which calculator you used, never your inputs or results.
You can change your choice at any time:
Hosting & infrastructure
This site is a static, statically-rendered application. Our hosting provider may log standard, anonymized server access data (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability purposes, as is standard for any web host.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change, we'll update this page and revise the "last updated" date above.
