BMI Calculator
Determine your Body Mass Index and check your weight category classification.
About this calculator
Body Mass Index (BMI) estimates whether your weight is healthy for your height, using the standard formula used by most health organizations worldwide.
How to use
- Enter your weight and choose its unit (kg or lbs).
- Enter your height and choose its unit (cm or in) — independently of the weight unit.
- Enter your age for reference (it does not affect the BMI calculation).
- Press Calculate to see your BMI on the gauge along with your weight category.
Tips
- BMI is a screening tool, not a diagnosis — it does not account for muscle mass, bone density, or body composition.
- Athletes and very muscular individuals may show a higher BMI despite low body fat.
- Age is shown for your reference only — standard adult BMI classification does not vary by age.
Formula
BMI = weight (kg) ÷ height (m)²
