About this calculator

Convert your salary between hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and annual pay so you can compare offers stated in different terms — and see how holidays and vacation days affect your real hourly and daily rate.

A salaried or hourly rate is usually quoted assuming you work every week of the year, but holidays and vacation days mean you're actually paid for time you don't work. This calculator shows both figures side by side: the "unadjusted" rate assumes a full 52-week working year, while the "adjusted" rate divides your annual pay by the hours or days you actually work after subtracting holidays and vacation. Weekly pay periods and longer aren't affected by this distinction, since those are fixed periodic amounts either way.

How to use

  1. Enter your salary amount and select the pay period it represents.
  2. Enter your hours per week and days per week.
  3. Enter your holidays per year and vacation days per year.
  4. Optionally enter an estimated tax rate to see net pay alongside gross pay.
  5. Press Calculate to see the equivalent amounts across all pay periods, both unadjusted and holiday/vacation-adjusted.

Tips

  • The adjusted hourly and daily rates are always higher than the unadjusted ones, since they reflect pay for fewer actually-worked hours or days.
